How long have you been a member of FFW?

About 8 month now

 

What class time do you normally attend?

9:30 AM

What made you initially sign up to become a member of the gym?

Always wanted to do CrossFit. But the opportunity availed itself after I retired. Best  (Work out) decision I ever made. 

 

What is/are your favorite thing(s) about the gym? 

The upbeat Atmosphere. Love seeing the kids running around. That brings great joy to my heart. The coaches are awesome. It's just a great place.

 

Do you have a favorite WOD or a favorite movement?

My favorite WODs are the ones that get my heart rate really going. But the ones that I’m leaning into the most are the things I’m not good at. Really looking forward to hammering the abs. Might not end up with a six-pack. But at least I don’t want to have the Dad bod pony kegg thing going. Lol

What’s the biggest accomplishment you’ve had since becoming a member? 

I think I’m getting pretty close to a good deadlift PR. Don’t wanna put a number on it just yet. But I was feeling pretty strong before I took the month off. As far as what keeps me coming back. I’ve seen improvements beyond what I thought would happen. The only regret I have is not starting CrossFit 20 years ago.  

 

What’s your favorite pump-up song?

Anything, AC/DC, Metallica, old-school hard rock. 

 

What’s your least favorite movement or WOD?

Still feel pretty awkward doing the Olympic bar lifts. But I want to lean into those because I feel awkward.

 

 

What keeps you coming back to the gym so consistently?

I’ve seen improvements beyond what I thought would happen. The only regret I have is not starting CrossFit 20 years ago.

​I make up or modify Dad/PaPa Jokes for my daughter and Gradkids.
